Alphabet: A song about the pressure of family and carrying on the name. You never ask to be born and yet here you are. Stuck in a cycle of having and not having. The track is inspired by clipping. I came up with a majority of it during my morning drive to school, hastily recorded the ideas down on voice memos, and had 60% of it done that night. It's beautiful when tracks like that just come out of you. We've had a few cases like that before but never has it come out so seamlessly. I really like what Soup did with his verse, I think playing around with the pitches of the vocals adds some nice flair as well.

Soup: This song came about initially from an idea Alphabet had to do a track about drive and the urge to do something no matter the restrictions or the obstacles. He initially had the idea for the chorus and asked me to send him a verse over voice memo one night. So within about 10-15 minutes I wrote out my verse and rapped it to home over the beat he gave me and it ended up being one of the nastiest verses I had written so far. Alphabet also had a very specific vision for the music video in which we asked a friend of ours, who does graphic design and 3D modeling, to help us create. Over about 2-3 months we had her make the music video and I think in the end we got the result we wanted. This also led us to decide to release the song as a single with the music video a month before the album's release.
